Roger Hall's Clock Unveiling 2023

On Saturday, 13th May 2023, the Bar Hill Community Association was proud to unveil a new village clock on the Parish Council building in memory of Roger Hall, our village historian, who passed away in April 2022.

As a historian, Roger published a book, "Bar Hill: A Social History 1949 to 2001", which detailed the village from its inception until 2001. He also assembled an extensive archive of activities in the village through photographs, documents, letters, and press cuttings. A small (tiny!) selection of these was visible in the Octagon during the event.

It is our intention, as a Community Association, to see that this material be preserved, indexed, and published for future generations.
